Meet Tsuga heterophylla, aka Western Hemlock, aka the official state tree of Washington. This innocent looking tree had been wreaking complete havoc on my sinuses. I’m fairly certain I have never had allergies this bad in my life (at least not that I can remember). I absolutly love Washington, it’s beautiful, partly because of this tree. But I’m miserable. I can hardly breathe. And my allergy medicine is useless. I might as well not even take it. Please, SEND KLENEX!

Greg and I just got done with day one of our new exercise routine, and I have come to the conclusion that I am horrificly out of shape. We are training for a 5K with Greg’s cousin Matthew. Currently I can run for about 30 seconds before I feel like I’m going to vomit up my liver. It doesn’t help that we are training on a hill. The hill is next to the horse pasture and the whole time we were running they were running back and forth along the fence next to us. It was partly encouraging and partly felt like they were mocking me.

There is nothing better on a cold rainy day than some hot coco...
